Out of season..

Ok it seems in Australia coral and polar fleeces are highly seasonal. And even though it is still the middle of winter many suppliers are clearing it out! So what fabric I have in this currantly maybe it. Flanel is much easier to come by right now. I have been buying up big on the fleeces this week. But sadly left my run a little late for some of the more popular styles. Big Humph about this today.

Now if there is something a customer particularlly wants I will do my best to hunt it down. (Even if that means calling around the country.) But sadly in my last post I pictured a beautiful coral fleece set, this fabric is no longer available. Yep I cried too then kicked myself for buying such a small amount.

So as I said I would do my best to chase down a fabric, but it does not all ways pan out my way.

Gift boxes

I had a brain wave at the last markets whilst talking to the many that stopped by to see my stall. GIFT BOXES... Perfect for the new mums and baby showers. This would certainly be a unique gift that would definately have people talking.
The following gift box was made in an afternoon, and contains all of my delights plus a new surprise.

Along with the change matt cover comes:
Four Re-usable cloth wipes

A tinkabell cube

And introducng Burp cloths. The gift pack contains 2 of these.

Also in the pack is the recipie card for the wipes solution as well.

My creative space...

Ok for my first post about this I thought I would share with you a project I have been working on outside of sewing.
I like to knit. I am not a flash knitter but I use fancy yarn and that seems to make what I am creating look better. So if you had seen me at the hand made expo this last weekend you would have noticed that I had some knitting keeping my hands warm and active. I have had a bit of a resting week, which involved waiting around ALOT. So I got a lot of knitting done and my awesome shawl is nearly as long as I am tall. (yes I know I am not that tall!).

So with out further ado here is the shawl as of this afternoon.
Now this is only 2/3 done. And Mr Fluffy changes has been told that he has to take me some place special to wear such an elegant shawl. (we shall see if this pans out.) Oh and this is very easy to knit. It is simply plain stich with elegant yarn on HUGE needles.

Handmade Expo

Thank you to all of the people that stopped in to say hi today. And welcome to any new fans. It was definately a cold start to the day this morning (Only 2 degrees C). So things were slow to start, but the day warmed to be a lovely winters' day with none of the nasty wind that we had in the lead up!
Remember that you can order from me via email, or facebook.

But note for the next week I will be out of action. All should be well and good though by next weekend.
